The Full Story
History
Founded in 1936, the Monroe County Rod & Gun Club, Inc., is a private members only gun club affiliated with the Michigan United Conservation Clubs (MUCC) and is located on 98 acres in the Avalon Beach are of Monroe Township. We are a family oriented club with many events to accommodate all ages.
We offer open to the public trap, skeet, and 5 stand shooting. The rifle, outdoor and indoor archery ranges are limited to members and their invited guests.
We have many events during the year such as our famous Wild Game Dinner, Cash Bash, Muskrat & Beaver Dinner, & more!
Mission
The objective of this organization will be to actively support all forms of intelligent conservation, including control of pollution of our air, soil, and water and the elimination of soil erosion and liter, both state and national, promote sportsmanship, hunter safety, and instruct children in sportsmanship and natural resources share with your visitors.
Conservation Pledge
I give my pledge as an American to save and faithfully defend from waste, the natural resources of my country, its air, soil, and minerals, it forests, water and wildlife.
